Free Shuttle Service
Skip the search for a parking spot by driving to the Catawba County Justice Center at 100 Government Drive, Newton. Park on or near the parking deck to catch a free shuttle that will drop off riders in the midst of all the festivities within minutes. Shuttles will run from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and are ideal for guests traveling in large groups.
From the Asheville, North Carolina area:
Take I-40 East. Take Exit 128 (Fairgrove Church Road) and turn right onto Fairgrove Church Road. Travel south until you come to U.S. 70 (the intersection of two four lane roads). Turn left. Travel east until you come to the intersection of Northwest Boulevard (U.S. 321 Business) at Bojangles’ restaurant. Turn right. After traveling about 2.3 miles, the Catawba County Justice Center is on your right, just beyond the First Baptist Church of Newton and CVS Pharmacy.
From the Greensboro, Winston-Salem or Raleigh-Durham areas:
Take I-40 West. Take Exit 133 (Rock Barn Road) and turn left onto Rock Barn Road. Travel southwest until you come to the intersection of Northwest Boulevard (U.S. 321 Business) at Bojangles’ restaurant. Turn left. After traveling about 2.3 miles, the Catawba County Justice Center is on your right, just beyond the First Baptist Church of Newton and CVS Pharmacy.
From the Charlotte area:
Using N.C. 16: Do not turn right when N.C. 16 North turns right at Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet. Instead, stay on N.C. 16 North Business into the City of Newton. N.C. 16 North Business will merge onto N.C. 10. After traveling about 2.2 miles beyond Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet, turn right onto Southwest Boulevard (U.S. 321 Business). The Catawba County Justice Center will be almost immediately on your left.
Using Highway 321: Travel north on U.S. 321 until you reach the N.C. 10 interchange. Exit and turn right onto N.C. 10. Travel about 4.5 miles until you reach the intersection of Southwest Boulevard (U.S. 321 Business). To reach the Catawba County Justice Center, turn left at the stoplight. The Catawba County Justice Center will be just up the road on your left.

Courtesy Trolley
There will be a free trolley running from the Justice Center to the Foothills Folk Art Festival in Downtown Newton and to the Train Day activities at the Southeastern Narrow Gauge & Shortline Museum in North Newton.
If you're parking at the Justice Center (100 Government Dr.), you'll be hopping on the trolley at the parking deck entrance. It will drop off/pick up at the corner near the Old Post Office Playhouse (the intersection of Main Avenue and A Street) and loop back every 15-20 minutes. The Trolley will also pick up near the Local Street Jams stage (the intersection of College Avenue and 3rd Street), head to the Train Day fun in North Newton, and loop back to the Government Center. It’s about a 15–20-minute loop, perfect for catching your breath between all the art and excitement.
The trolley will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., so you can ride all day long!
